10 Festive Drinks for Christmas (alcohol)

APPLE PIE SHOT

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz vodka

  • 1 oz apple cider

  • 1 Tbs whipped cream

  • 1 pinch cinnamon
Preparation:

In a 2 ounce shot glass, combine vodka and apple cider. Top with a dollop of whipped cream and a pinch of cinnamon.

HOT APPLE TODDY

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz whiskey or apple brandy

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • hot apple cider

  • lemon wedge for garnish

  • cinnamon stick for garnish

  • 2-3 whole cloves for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Coat the bottom of an Irish coffee glass with honey.

  2. Add the whiskey or apple brandy.

  3. Fill with hot apple cider.

  4. Stir well.

  5. Garnish with the lemon, cinnamon stick and cloves.

BRANDY ALEXANDER

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz brandy

  • 1 oz dark creme de cacao

  • 1 oz half-and-half

  • ¼ tsp grated nutmeg
Preparation:

In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the brandy, creme de cacao, and half-and-half. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with the nutmeg.

CHRISTMAS CRANBERRY

Ingredients:

  • 1 ounce cranberry vodka (or plain vodka)

  • 1 ounce hazelnut liqueur or Amaretto

  • 3 ounces cranberry juice

  • 2 ounces orange juice (without pulp)
Preparation:

Combine in a cocktail shaker over ice. Strain into glasses filled with crushed ice and garnish with orange slices or frozen cranberries.

CHRISTMAS IN MEXICO

Ingredients:

  • 3 oz gold tequila

  • 12 oz cranberry juice

  • 3 splashes grenadine syrup

  • 2 splashes sweet and sour mix
Preparation:

Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into glass. Garnish with cranberries and slice of lime (salt optional).

CHRISTMAS NIPPLE

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Bailey's Irish cream

  • 1 oz butterscotch schnapps

  • 1 oz eggnog
Preparation:

Stir ingredients together over ice in a coffee mug, and serve.

CINNAMON SHOT

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz vodka

  • 1 oz cinnamon schnapps
Preparation:

Layer in a double-shot glass, schnapps first, followed by the vodka. Garnish with cinnamon stick and serve.

GIN AND CHERRY SLING

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz gin

  • 1 ounce cherry brandy

  • 4 ounces club soda
Preparation:

Pour gin and brandy in serving glass over crushed ice. Top up with club soda and garnish with maraschino cherries.

HOT RUSSIAN CHRISTMAS

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz vodka

  • 1 oz Kahlua

  • 1 oz eggnog

  • 2/3 cup hot chocolate
Preparation:

Take 2 packets of hot chocolate mix and put them into the coffee mug. Add the shots of eggnog cream, vodka, and Kahlua. Fill the rest of the coffee mug with hot water. Stir. You may need to heat the drink up in the microwave for 30 seconds before serving. When nice and hot, serve.

STRAWBERRY MIMOSA

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 strawberries

  • 3 ½ oz. champagne or sparkling wine

  • 3 ½ oz. orange juice
Preparation:

Mix orange juice and strawberries with a little shaved ice in a blender until smooth. Pour into a chilled wine goblet and add cold champagne. Stir gently so as not to lose the bubbles.
